I was inspired by the connection these whales have to the waters we share here in the PNW. Their journey is a reminder of the movement, resilience, and deep history that exists within our oceans. Through this painting, I wanted to celebrate not only the beauty of the gray whale but also the incredible stories written into the natural world around us.
